Wake Up Call

My late son was doing his PhD in Applied Mathematics. Once in last June before his death in October, I was going through his papers. At the end of the paper, there was a long list of references of the authors and their books or papers on that particular subject. There were only a couple Muslim authors among them was son’s Professor/Supervisor. In the past Muslims occupied a prestigious position in sciences. Al Khawarzimi, Omar al Khayam and many more. Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I appeal to the Muslim youth to strive hard and excel in basic sciences without which the dream of Muslims advancement will be futile.
